The things that men and women will do for fun tends to completely mystify the other sex. No male has yet felt, while a touch depressed, that the immediate purchase of new shoes and a matching handbag will make him happier. Similarly, while many women do indeed enjoy beer, none have yet realized that making noises with one’s armpit is in fact the funniest joke of all time.

The sports that men so enjoy can also be puzzling. In Rostov-on-Don (Russia) the police had a report from alarmed citizens about a riot or mass fight that was going on on a field just outside town. It turns out they were simply playing rugby (although the difference can be hard to spot, the major difference being that rugby is marginally more sober than a riot).
