A Chinese woman, Wang Zhiquin, is being tried for being found in possession of women’s panties and men’s long johns soaked in heroin on an internal flight in China. There’s something about this that reminds me of a CSI episode I saw only two days ago. Still, the purpose was not to increase the US or EU trade deficit by creating a fad or fashion for a new form of underwear (it would bring new meaning to “Eat My Shorts” for example) nor an attempt to cater to a fetish. Rather, simply a method of attempting to smuggle said heroin. As such, if convicted, she will likely be executed with the traditional bullet to the back of the head.
